D3 · The Presidents' Athletic ConferenceConference game

Geneva seeks a fifth straight over Allegheny despite trailing in the D3 ranks

Allegheny#71 D3 · 6-1Away25
Projected25-27Geneva 53% chance to win
Geneva#131 D3 · 3-4Home27

Geneva has won all four meetings in this series since 2022, and Allegheny has not beaten the Golden Tornadoes since that October meeting four years ago. That history gets another test this week with the two Presidents teams meeting again in a game that counts in the conference standings.

On paper, Allegheny carries the better profile. The Gators are 6-1, sit 71st in D3 and are graded a B+ overall, 60 spots ahead of a Geneva team that sits 131st and is 3-4 on the year with a C+ overall grade. But Versus's model leans the other way, projecting Geneva to win 27-25 with a 53 percent chance, a two-point margin that reflects how thin the gap actually is underneath the records.

Part of that comes down to location. Allegheny has been a notably better team away from home than at home this season, and this one is on the road for the Gators. Geneva, by contrast, has played much better at home than away, and it hosts this one. Geneva has also been erratic, swinging from a big win to a lopsided loss in recent weeks, so either version could show up Saturday.
