Kentucky State's defense separates two 4-1 teams in SIAC play

Both teams arrive at 4-1, but that shared record hides how differently Versus views them. Kentucky State sits at No. 46 in Division II, its highest placement in Versus's records dating to 2007, built on an A- defense ranked 40th even though the offense grades out as just B-. Edward Waters checks in at No. 63, a step behind, with a power grade of only C- and a defense that ranks 130th in Division II.

Edward Waters has real momentum of its own, having improved its power rating in each of the last three weeks and having just won at Morehouse for the first time since August 2024.
