Army eyes revenge on Tulane in American Athletic Conference rematch
Tulane holds a 6-5 edge in the series since 2007, including a 24-17 win over Army last October, but Versus projects a different outcome this time around. The model has Army winning by 12, 31-19, as part of a game that counts in the American Athletic Conference standings.
Versus ranks Tulane 69th in FBS, 23 spots ahead of Army at 92nd, yet the grades tell a more complicated story. Army carries a B- in power, offense and defense, while Tulane grades out at C- in power and offense and C on defense, with only its B- overall grade standing out. Army has also outscored its last four opponents while going 2-2 over that stretch, and its last three games have all been decided by 8 points or fewer, a sign this one could again come down to the finish.
Both teams enter at 2-2, and Tulane has not finished a season below .500 since 2021, a streak it will be looking to protect. But with Army projected to pull off a 76 percent win probability outcome at home, the Black Knights look poised to even this series up and put an end to last year's result.
